Real Madrid defense vs pick and roll

     This season Real Madrid hasn't shown the basketball that everyone is expecting from former champions. Their record is 2-5 in Euroleague, and both wins are on the home court!

     Defensive effort that caught my eyes was made against pick and roll. 

     Khimki was playing simple top pick and roll, veteran Felipe Reyes (X4) went to bump the roll to the basket. This action allowed Carroll (X3) to guard Koponen (3), who's known as a great shooter, closely on perimeter. Options for Rice (1) was to take a shot or pass out to Todorovic (4), who is not known as a good shooter, however, he has taken only 1 3pt shot during 7 games. 

     Despite this defensive effort, Real Madrid couldn't defend their home court and lost to the Khimki for the second time this season!
